Our Positioning Platform

Our platform is a complete application positioning platform that provides accurate indoor positioning together with the possibilities to collect and analyze the positioning data. Based on our proprietary algorithms we, deliver industry-leading accuracy on all levels. Using the Qubulus platform, any location based services can be developed.

 1.  Record Radio Data

Recording Radio Data (Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, etc.) is at the core of our business at Qubulus.  Using our Recording Tool, Qubulus, our Partners, and individual developers are able to record the data necessary for enabling indoor positioning in a any environment.

2. Upload to Qubulus Servers

There is a lot of data to process and its impossible to do Indoor Positioning using fingerprinting without an intelligent way of compressing the data into something more manageable.  Qubulus handles this by uploading the data to our servers to process our intelligent compression over all of the recordings.

3. Compress Recordings

Using proprietary algorithms developed at Qubulus, the data is compressed into a much smaller file, recreating the environment in an entirely new way so that positions can be found quickly and efficiently.  Here at Qubulus, we refer to this file as the “Fingerprint File“, the “Fingerprints“, of the FPD (referring to the *.fpd file extension).

4. Match current signals with Recordings

Positions are estimated by using radio data that the device can “see” and comparing them against the data stored in the Fingerprint File.  Using proprietary algorithms developed at Qubulus, positions can be generated with a high degree of accuracy.

5. Generate a Position

Once the position is generated, it can be used by a client via our Positioning API for a variety of purposes and applications.

6.  Store data for analytics

Generated positions can be stored on Qubulus servers to be analyzed. You can monitor histories, group flow, and more using data that has never been seen before.
